Damazan vs Eymet 21/6/2015

Damazan versus Eymet played at Damazan on 21/6/2015

After the performance against Bordeaux last week Damazan was looking to regain the competitiveness of earlier in the season. However, Eymet won the toss and captain David Horlock decided to bat first and from that point onwards the match was completely one sided. Eymet scored at will  and made a huge total of 4 for 263 with Damazan's bowling severely understrength with the absence of Gagan Singh from Damazan. David Horlock  top scored for Eymet with a solid 91, Uddin scored 60 not out and N Jones 51. The fielding left a lot to be desired, not helped by only having 10 men. Ali was the only bowler who bowled well taking 2 for 40.
Afternoon tea was really looked forward to by Damazan and it was hoped that some pride would be salvaged by the batting. However it was not to be with Damazan being all out for 105. Only stand in captain Peter Matthews withstood the bowling scoring 39 with Swaran Singh and Ali  scoring 16 each. Eymet put in a polished bowling and fielding display, Uddin took 3 for 16 and Nigel Jones 3 for 17. So the absence of captain Gagan Singh really had an enormous impact on  Damazan's performance and Damazan was heading for a possible 3 losses in  a row.
